August 15, 2011 / 37 Weeks Pregnant

Everyday, bigger and bigger. I had a doctor appointment today and he said I am 1cm dilated. Although I know I could stay that way for a while, it's still pretty exciting to know there is some progress going on. I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and some (I can't remember the exact medical name for it) "fake" hernia pain. Basically my belly muscles are thinned out and I'm experiencing the same pain as someone with a hernia would, but it's not an actual hernia and will go away once the baby is born. We are getting really excited. Just about everything is done. The nursery is all set up and I really have to take some photos to share with everyone.

Hopefully baby Maddy will be here soon!!

If I were to guess, I'd say this baby is going to come early. She kicks stronger than my other girls did this far along, my belly is much bigger, and I've been feeling a lot of cramping and pressure already. 6 weeks to go?? We'll see!

I noticed the belly band is up a little higher in this photo so it makes my belly *look* a little smaller than the last one... but trust me... it's far from small! You may also notice I got a fancy new haircut ;-)

April 24, 2011 / 20 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant

We found out that the new baby is going to be a GIRL!! Yup, another girl! Rudy is really going to be out numbered now. Even our two cats are girls! We've decided to name her Madelyn Rose. I already love the name and it's so nice to be able to say her name instead of having to say "it" or "the baby" all the time.

My belly is really started to grow and to be honest, I feel like my legs resemble a couple of red woods, and the rest of me is the size of a house. I can't believe this pregnancy is 1/2 over already. Considering this is our last it's kind of bitter sweet. Feeling the baby kick and knowing this is going to be the last time to experience something so amazing.... it's a sad feeling. We are looking forward to meeting our new little girl soon though.

My belly is getting rounder! Right after taking this photo I weighed myself. Note to self, stay off the darn scale. Did you know I'm already up to 151 lbs?! Let's PRETEND I didn't start out at 130 and have ALREADY gained 21 of the 30 lbs I'm supposed to gain over the ENTIRE pregnancy. To be honest, this is probably the last time I'm going to be pregnant so I'll admit, I've been enjoying it. That includes indulging in almost every craving. *blush* Oh well, you only live once right?

Not too much change from the last picture that I can see. I *think* I am starting to feel the baby's first movement flutters. Feeling the baby move is the best part of being pregnant. It's so amazing so I'm looking forward to it becoming more obvious and frequent!

I have to admit, getting pregnant right after the holidays means that I was already working on a belly, even before having a baby to fill it out. I'm only 6 weeks pregnant in this picture but my belly looks more like the 3 month mark when I was pregnant with Yuna, and about the 2 month mark when I was pregnant with Kayla. I'm gonna pretend that the 3rd baby show's up three times as fast. Sound good to you?
