We picked up Rudy's new Harley tonight!! He was so excited it was like seeing a kid on Christmas morning. All day long it was all he could talk about and 6 pm couldn't come fast enough.
A couple of friends met him at the Harley dealer so he could drive home using his motorcycle permit. He took a little time driving it around the parking lot at the dealership so he could get a feel for it. After about 10 minutes he was ready to hit the roads. Truth be told, he did stall the bike once - right in the middle of downtown Liverpool too, but aside from that he did great.
When we got home the guys were talking about the ride and Sean tells him... Dude, there is this one thing you really have to stop doin - smiling so damn much! Keep that up and you are going to bugs in your teeth.
It was so friggen funny because Rudy had this HUGE permagrin going on. You should've seen it, totally priceless. Even after Sean's warning he couldn't shake the smile and about 15 minutes, don'tcha know it, a bug smacks him right in the face.
It's been a great night. He's already been out to the garage to check on his new toy and I'm not sure how he's going to be able to make it through the whole day at work tomorrow. He's going to be itching to get home and get someone over here to go out riding with him.
I am still nervous about the whole bike, killing yourself thing, but seeing how happy he is, I can't help but to be happy about it too.
Here are a few of the photos from tonight:
